September is Suicide Prevention Month

If you or anyone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts or is in crisis, call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In case of an emergency, dial 911.

National Suicide Prevention Month

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and here at Such n Such Media, we don’t take that lightly. We’re not shy about discussing mental health, and we want to do our part to spread awareness and education about suicide prevention.

This month is all about educating ourselves and others about suicide prevention, the resources available, and ways to spread awareness. We’ve included a lot of great resources for you to consider, but don’t stop here! Learn more by reading information from The National Alliance on Mental Illness, 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. These sites have many resources that can help you know what to do in the event of an emergency and many ways of offering support if you or someone you know is in a crisis.

Suicide Prevention Resources

There are a variety of resources to be aware of, even if you don’t personally know anyone who has suicidal thoughts. If you or someone you know is ever in an emergency, dial 911 immediately. The following resources give a number of different options for methods of contacting (phone, text, live messaging) and specialized areas (veterans, teens, etc.).

The main 24/7 nationwide crisis hotline is 988. This number works for both calling (multi-language) and texting (English-only). All of the resources below are available 24/7.
