How to Add Manager Access to Your GBP

So, you’ve just signed the contract to start your marketing journey, yay! Among the long list of things you need to send over, you notice that you need to give manager access to your Google Business Profile (GBP). What does that even mean? Don’t worry, I’ll lay it all out for you!

Why Do You Need to Share Your GBP Anyway?

You may be wondering why it’s so important for us to have access to your GBP in the first place. There are two main reasons for this. One is so we can optimize it for the best performance possible. This will help you rank better and ultimately drive more leads.

The second is in case your profile gets suspended. If something occurs and your GBP goes down, we like to act quickly to get it unsuspended. If we don’t already have access, it can take a while to get everything situated, and that means more time for your profile to be down, which affects leads.

How Do You Share Access to Your GBP?

Fortunately, this is very easy to do! Here’s the basic version:

Google Page

Step 1: Go to Google. Be sure you’re logged into the account your GBP is associated with

Clicking the Hamburger

Step 2: Click the button in the top right and select the Business Profile button.

Step 6: Enter the email address you want to share access with (probably your marketing email address). Choose manager-level access and hit invite.

And that’s it! Once you’ve sent the notification, notify your account manager so we can accept it before the invitation expires.

* An important note: make sure you give us manager access and not owner access. Here at Such n Such Media, we always make sure that you own your own products. Owner access can add or remove anyone, so that should always stay with you. We can do everything we need to do with manager access.

Here’s a video explaining this process in more depth:

As always, you can reach out to your account manager if you have any questions!
